🌶️ Chili Care ~ Seasonal Guide

Your chili plant is a living, fruiting plant that will add life & spice to your home. With minimal care, it will reward you with colour, heat, and flavour 🌶️

☀️ Sunlight

  • Loves direct sun!!!

  • Max Sun = More Fruit Rewards

  • Designed for a Sunny Window Sill or Sunny Area in your home

    💧 Watering

    Designed to be self watering

  • Place the glass above a reservoir of water (a ceramic dish is ideal)

  • Only allow the wick to be submersed in the reservoir.

  • Do not water the plant from the soil!

  • Roots are watered by the wick.

  • Change the water in the reservoir at least once a week.

  • Recommended to remove the wick from the reservoir once a week for a full day to allow the soil to dry, plant to be thirsty.

    🪴Care

  • Remove dead stalks and leaves with a clean scissors

  • Use the balancing stone provided for stability & support

  • Rotate as the plants grows and bears fruit

    🌱 Feeding

  • This is an ideal time to change the water in the reservoir and feed with an organic liquid food such as Vitality Boost.

🐛 Pests & Care Tips

  • Check leaves regularly for aphids or insects

  • Rinse gently with water if needed

  • Spray with a gentle dish soap if insects are seen

  • Healthy plants are naturally more resistant

🌶️ Harvesting

  • Pick chilies once they are firm and colourful

  • Chilis will turn red if left long on the plant

  • Regular harvesting encourages more fruiting

  • Handle with care — These chilies are HOT 🔥

  • May be cared for without the reservoir/Wick System (but water daily)
